Peculiarities of microstresses accumulation in deformed chromium

When rolling a low-alloyed chromium a stage character in formation of microstresses is established which follows from the suggested representation of the value of microstresses as superpositions of contributions from randomly distributed dislocations and boundaries of cells. The microstresses in chromium rolled at the temperatures of 773-1273 K is limited by the value of the limit of elasticity (160-180 MPa) of the initial billet in the annealed state. In case of the low-alloyed chromium deformation in the region of temperatures of dynamic deformation aging and on the surface of the deformed billets the value of microstresses increases to 240-260 MPa due to the growth of the elasticity limit of the chromium crystal lattice under deformation in conditions of point defects accumulation.
