In instrumentation systems it is sometimes necessary to change a signal from one form into another. Conversions which involve time, for example voltage to time conversion or time to voltage conversion, can be performed using an operational integrator as the basis of the conversion circuit. The experimental circuits presented show some of the ways in which operational amplifiers can be used for time conversions.
