摘要
The work of those who sharpen cutting tools manually on abrasive disks is classified as light and involving slight tension. From a hygienic viewpoint, the most important factors are noise and vibration whose levels are somewhat higher than the maximum permissible values. Long-term exposure to vibration results in substantial functional disturbances in workers. At present, the best ways to prevent vibration sickness seem to be the use of vibration-proof cutter-holders and the introduction of a work-and-rest regimen free from excessive vibration.
