A description of the conditions for successful cold forming of special workpieces on a transfer press (progressive header) is followed by examples. These are a connecting rod bolt of 32Cr4 steel, a knurled head screw of 14NiCr10 steel, a pivot pin of 15Cr3 steel, a brush holder pin of C10 steel, and a special M10 screw of 41Cr4 steel. The forming process steps are illustrated.
