摘要
Measures to minimize the average total cost of control and defective production per unit time, when using the '%'Go and Not Go'%' counting defectives control chart are reviewed. The design of this chart which gives a minimum total cost is considered as an optimum design. Due to complications of the procedure followed for getting the optimum design, a digital electronic computer was found to be necessary for the solution of the optimum design problem.
