Thermally stimulated current studies have been made on pure and doped polyvinyl fluoride. The spectra suggest the existence of three types of self-activated centers which are quantitatively affected by impurity incorporation. These centers give rise to 3 corresponding peaks in the TSC spectra, occurring at 340, 390 and 450 K. The effect of iodine doping provides a special feature in that not only the activation energies and the attempt-to-escape frequencies are considerably lowered but also the middle peak is greatly enhanced.
