摘要:
One of the basic aims in producing green compacts in a ceramic manufacturing process is to achieve maximal apparent density. The apparent density and green strength of dry-pressed compacts can be enhanced by increasing the pressure. However, increasing the pressure causes the apparent density to asymptotically approach a certain limit value, which, if transgressed, may result in crack formation upon pressure relief. Lubricating-type compaction additives tend to increase the material's apparent density.
