摘要
The computer is a major tool in the Association of Energy Engineer's efforts to conserve energy. In Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC), it is being used for both design and operation. This is certainly desirable and even inevitable, yet it gives us some cause for concern. The computer is only a tool, not a substitute for intelligence, training and experience. This paper discusses briefly one of the many items which the designer must understand in order to provide the proper input to the HVAC load calculation program. This item is the psychrometric processes involved in selecting a cooling/dehumidifying coil. The paper shows a psychrometric chart from the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
