摘要
A nozzle has been designed which eliminates the decrease in casting speeds encountered during casting of large blooms and slab sections and makes it possible to cast small billet sections. The use of the nozzle also eliminates nozzle bugging when casting silicon-killed steels and results in improved stream quality. The annular nozzles are being used routinely to cast Al-killed, Si-Al-killed, and Si-killed steels in billets, bloom and slab sections.
