WATER VAPOR BUDGET AND PRECIPITATION IN SYNOPTIC FORMATIONS OF TEMPERATURE LATITUDES.

Results of investigating the moisture storage and water vapor budget in cyclonic and anticyclonic conditions observed on a polygon with an area of 4 multiplied by (times) 10**1**1 m**2 with a center in Perm (December 1973 and November-December 1977) are presented. The role of horizontal and vertical transport and phase transitions in the water vapor budget is evaluated. It is shown that on the basis of calculating the water vapor budget it is possible to make satisfactory quantitative estimations of continuous precipitation on an area during passage of cyclonic formations.
