It is shown how safety strategies that represent the larger arrangements can be placed on a simple framework: pre-accident strategies comprising 'safe place' and 'safe person' strategies; post-accident strategies comprising contingency strategies, ameliorative strategies, and feed-back strategies; and collateral strategies.
