摘要
Cache memory techniques are well known in the minicomputer and mainframe worlds but not in the 32-bit microcomputer community. Yet the system performance of today's bus-based 32-bit computer boards can be improved by applying cache memory techniques originally developed for minis and mainframes. These techniques can maximize a microprocessor unit's (MPU's) speed and throughput despite the performance degradation of other system elements.
