A model of representation of mining and geological information on stoping pillars for purposes of long-term control of the development of the mining work is set forth. The method is based on two principles: the principle of the ″output classification″ and the ″typification″ principle. It is proposed to use methods of the pattern recognition theory as the mathematical tool permitting realization of these principles. Relying on the recognition methods, a classification algorithm is compiled and a program for a ″Minsk-22″ computer is constructed in accordance with it.
