摘要
A probability model of strength, fracture toughness and fatigue life of unidirectionally reinforced fibrous composites is described. Analysis of the failure process of filaments is based on the Markov's chain theory using the kinetic equation for transition probabilities. Solutions for determining the reliability of the fibrous composite were found from static and cyclic uniaxial loading. The reliability of composite with macroscopic defects was also investigated. The results of predicting the reliability and fatigue life of the fibrous composite are presented.
