This article relates generally to arrangements for the detection of magnetic fields and more particularly to apparatus for the detection of monopoles and its method of fabrication. Emphasis is on monopole detector geometry which can be generalized to large dimensions while providing minimum sensitivity to an external magnetic field and minimum impedance per unit length of wire, and remaining sensitive to local changes in trapped flux.
