摘要：

Technical and policy alternatives are discussed for helping AM radio at a time when it is losing large portions of its audience to FM. These alternatives include: improving aging antenna systems; AM/FM program duplication; improved AM receivers; changes to FCC 'duopoly' rules; use of synchronous transmitters; changes to 'clear channel' rules; and noise suppression in the AM band.
