摘要
The disposal of mining and milling waste causes environmental problems mainly on land and water. That waste may contain insoluble and soluble components. While the former group of components causes primarily problems of aesthetic and ecological damage those can be easily solved in most of the cases. On the other hand tailings are a source of heavy metals and potentially harmful chemicals such as cyanide, acids, xanthate, oils and various other organics. Paper points out various techniques developed for abatement of water pollution by soluble components as described in the literature whose survey is included.
