Controlling color throughout the screen-printing process

A color managed workflow can minimize production time and costs while at the same time increases color accuracy and image quality. ICC-compliant software is used to help predict and quantify the digital color content in printing and the tool used to describe this content is called the ICC profile which is a concept that is recently used in print shops of all descriptions. The big majority of design files supplied to screen printers come embedded with a default ICC profile for offset printing. Customers' profile generation and matching the standard reproduction parameters of the screen-printing process is a must to achieve the expected color via screen printing. Content creation is an interesting aspect of any output for hire workflow as the digital content color setting of the file have already been optimized for some type of commercial printing conditions.
