摘要
Orographic and thermal inhomogeneities of the earth's surface have a substantial effect on the structure of atmospheric processes of various scales. An analysis and experimental investigation of certain methods of taking into account friction and orography in numerical models and their effect on atmospheric processes are discussed in the paper. Methods and the results of a numerical experiment, which was conducted on the basis of a model of atmospheric dynamics for the Northern Hemisphere, are presented.
