Experimental results are presented for continuous systems of flexible cylindrical shallow shells, rigidly fastened to longitudinal supporting ribs. An installation is described for testing models. The experimental data are compared with the results of theoretical calculations for the systems in question obtained on the basis of combination of the Kantorovich-Vlasov and finite difference methods.
