摘要：
Special aspects associated with the modeling of currents and sediment transport in intertidal zones are discussed. An application of a two-dimensional model for tidal currents and the associated sediment transport to the southern portion of the North Frisian intertidal zone indicates what type of results can be obtained with relatively simple assumptions and to what extent they expand the state of knowledge obtained previously from empirical data.
