摘要
The application of high tensile strength steels to offshore structures has increased recently, as such structures have become larger. However, the high tensile strength steels are considered as to be susceptible to environment in spite of a great deal of advantages. Therefore, corrosion fatigue properties in severe environments such as the deep sea or the frozen sea should be grasped. The authors have been studying on the corrosion fatigue behavior of high tensile strength steels in cold artificial sea water. This paper describes the effect of the cathodic protection at several potentials in cold sea water of which the dissolved oxygen content is controlled.
