Wrappers and Metadata progress report

This paper reports the findings of the Subgroup on Wrappers and Metadata of the EBU/SMPTE Task Force on Harmonization of Standards for the Exchange of Program Material as Bit Streams (TFHS) and the standardization projects now under way. For a full description of the work of the EBU/SMPTE Task Force, the reader is referred to the various reports and papers. This paper concentrates on describing the architecture of the proposed overall solution for Wrappers, by reference to some example applications, some issues of integration with existing standards, and extension of those standards in the future.
