摘要：

The functioning of the gearboxes in screw-cutting lathes in which the lubricating oil was not changed for 16 months was observed. Systematic tests of oil quality have confirmed that it corresponded to the established norm. The conclusion made was that the service life of the lubricating oil can be increased two-fold compared with the existing recommendations for lathes.
