POWDER COATING COMES DOWN TO EARTH.

This paper discusses technological, applicational and economic aspects of powder coating techniques which comprise both fluidized bed and electrostatic spraying. Powder coating is beginning to trade glamour for broad practical acceptance by industrial finishers. The industry is no longer starry-eyed. Engineers are now getting down to the brass tacks of proving out systems for major applications in the automotive and glass-bottle industries. Consistent efforts have come up with thinner and better coatings, bringing process costs into real competition with those of liquid paint technology.
