摘要
A description is given of the development of a small, high speed, lightweight flywheel/a-c synchronous motor alternator sealed energy storage package coupled to a load commutated inverter power circuit. The system stores sufficient energy in the rotor of the machine for one stop-start cycle. A composite flywheel is used to store additional energy for several cycles, or enough for climbing or descending short grades.
