摘要
This paper describes the design and specifications of the PCA-1, an LSI chip on which the plastic cell architecture (PCA) is realized. PCA is a dynamically reconfigurable hardware architecture that was first proposed at the NTT laboratories. PCA-1 was designed and manufactured to verify the basic concept of the PCA. The asynchronous circuit design method which was adopted for the design of PCA-1 is also described. The LSI chip project was completed and has been success, and experimental results are also outlined in this paper.
