This work presents a model and the simulation of an industrial chilling system that will enable, in an easy and efficient way, to design a control strategy to prevent temperature oscillations found in the cooling water demand. The system supplies the necessary cooling water for the refrigeration of different processes taking place in a plastic production plant, mainly for the refrigeration of plastic in the injector machines. The methodology used to generate the mathematical model is Bond Graphs and the TUTSIM software was used for the simulation. The temperature of the cooling water and its sensitivity to perturbations and variation of system parameters was observed. The simulation showed that the model reflects in a correct form the real behavior of the system.
