Previously, the authors reported a method of computer animation in which the movement of motion mark points on an object is approximated by trigonometric functions and animation primitives are assigned to connect two mark points via analog transformation. The composite figures constructed by this method, however, are not very elegant because some lines are discontinuous or intersect each other at junctions of the primitives. These difficulties are eliminated by connecting a pair of terminal points of two primitives by an arc. The program structure is also improved by adopting a list structure. This improved method has wide application.
