摘要：

The first energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectrometer for process control is now available to the mining industry. This economical analytical system, which can assay various concentrator streams quickly and accurately, was first put into 24-hr operation in July 1972 at Kennecott Copper Corp. 's Chino Mines Div. in New Mexico. Features of the system, sample preparations and spectrometer operations, computer purpose and hardware used are described.
