摘要
It is shown that blast furnaces can use middle-temperature coke at a final coking temperature above 800°C. In this case the coke strength depends on the porosity and pore morphology. It is desirable to use high-dense charges and high heating rates for coke manufacture. The coke quality can be improved by blast furnace treatment prior to its destruction by gasification. High heating rates call for a coking oven which walls are thinner or of high heat conductance.
