摘要
The problem of reservoir bank transformation occuring during construction of hydro developments determines not only the normal functioning of the hydroelectric station but also minimum disturbance of the natural complex. However, it is necessary to recognize that the indicated problem cannot be considered elaborated satisfactorily, although it has been studied for a long time. This especially pertains to reservoirs created under harsh climate conditions. Prediction of the reworking of banks should correspond to the classification scheme of the process under considerations, which is based on the character of interaction of natural geocryological factors and processes with reservoirs. Among such factors the main one is frozen ground with its characteristic composition, structure, and properties.
