摘要：

Around 70% of the gas entrapped in pressure diecastings made in horizontal-chamber machines enters the molten metal in the filling chamber. The castings become more porous and their quality is impaired. Filling conditions at a constant ram speed have been investigated. The proposed model can be used to determine the optimum chamber-filling conditions.
