摘要
Safety systems should minimize at every moment in time a risk-function of at least two competitive components: (1) the missing of an actual emergency state, and (2) unnecessary loss of plant availability. Important specific features and tasks of safety systems involve complications not present in well-known approaches to the state estimation problem of the control theory. Some results of theoretical investigations of suitable estimators are given in the paper together with a discussion on the role of a-priori information within the estimating procedures.
