Measurements are presented of pulse amplitude spectra of Cerenkov light of EAS in the atmosphere at heights up to approximately equals 17 km. Cerenkov light with threshold densities from 3 to 96 photons/cm**2 (primary cosmic ray energy E//0 greater than equivalent to 5 multiplied by 10**1**3 ev) was recorded. The experimental data are compared with theory.
