Under the usual conditions for channel flows, the effect of suspended sediments on hydraulic resistance has been studied insufficiently. Furthermore, the available experimental data in the literature on the effect of suspended sediments on hydraulic resistance are somewhat contradictory. Because of this hydraulic calculations were performed for uniform motion in a channel.
