Crystal structure of a new ring silicate

摘要：
The chemical composition and crystal structure of a new natural silicate with general formula K2Na4Ca3Ti2Be4Si12O38 are examined. The study of this mineral structure have aroused interest because of its extraordinary chemical composition, namely the association of beryllium with titanium and potassium. Using X-ray diffraction method the coordinates and equivalent thermal parameters of the atoms in the silicate structure, as well as interatomic distances are determined. The packing of structural blocks in the new mineral is shown to be quite different as compared with hexagonal beryl, the diverse element composition in this mineral being structurally ordered.
