Industry seeks improved cooperation

Textile leaders attending the annual meeting of the American Textile Mfrs. Institute (ATMI), held in Washington in March called for cooperation within all segments of the fiber-textile industry. They want to develop a stronger and more effective voice in dealing with government regulations and international trade issues. Recent splits within the organisation and a high-profile resignation have shown the need for a greater sense of unity and consensus.
