Problem Associated with the Demodulation of Noisy Digital Data Flows.

The problem of optimal demodulation of digital data flows is considered. It is assumed that a signal of the form y(t) equals SIGMA a//nS//n(t) plus n(t) is present at the input of the demodulator for the purpose of recovering the binary information. Here a//n are the binary information parameters that are assumed to have a value of either plus 1 or minus 1; s//n(t) is the signal that corresponds to the transmission of the nth single bit; n(t) is the noise fed into the channel.
