High resolution polarization nulling measurement system with magneto-optical modulator

摘要：

The segment of automatic ellipsometer in document [1]-the measurement of polarization nulling has been improved. By using Terbium special glass (Verdet constant=0.31 min/Oe&middotcm) as modulator material, a new type of magneto-optical modulator and driver circuit have been designed and constructed. Polarized Light is modulated by DC and AC, using ultra-low noise frequency-selective amplifier and lock-in amplifier, the repeatability error S3 of nulling is not greater then 0.0004°.
