摘要
As the workforce age and the number of workers who work on shifts continues to increase, a better understanding of the experiences of older shiftworkers has become necessary. To improve such understanding, a model of adaptation of shiftwork was developed and tested on a group of older shiftworkers. The model hypothesized that individual difference variables strongly influence the onset of social and domestic disturbances. Such disturbances, in turn, elicit certain coping behavior. These strains were then predicted to influence the reduction of emotional well-being.
