摘要：

The smart antenna of switched-beam and SDMA technique were used to expand the capacity of GSM system. The performance of several DOA algorithms effective in the multipath environment was compared. The DOA of each user was identified exactly. Chebyshev array was used to get optimum solution for multibeam designation and in the cellular sector of the same time slot two users were dealt with to expand the capacity of the system twice as it was. It was proved that the method of expanding the capacity of GSM system was feasible in theory.
