Estimation of hydraulic losses in the flow-through part of a bottom-hole jet pump

Hydraulic losses in the flow-through part of a bottom-hole jet pump were experimentally determined in series and parallel inclusion into the circulation system. It is found that with the Reynolds number growth, the relative hydraulic losses caused by turbulent flows mixing decrease as compared with common pressure losses in the flow-through part of a jet pump. The hydraulic losses are equal to 0.7-4.8% common pressure losses in the flow-through part for the Reynolds number range corresponding to the real conditions of using the jet systems.
