Similar transformation of a flattened Gaussian beam through paraxial optical ABCD systems

摘要
Starting from the generalized Huygens-Fresnel diffraction integral, the similar transformation of a flattened Gaussian beam (FGB) passing through paraxial optical ABCD systems is studies. It is shown that under the condition, that the Fresnel numbers of the two transfer systems are equal, a similar intensity profile can be achieved while the FGB propagates through the two optical ABCD systems, and the scaling factor of the argument is B.
