Winners of the 1988 Powder Metallurgy (P/M) Part of the Year Design Competition show the growing international diversity of P/M applications. Markets for the parts include computers, automobiles, high-security locks, firearms, chemical processing and bio-medical prostheses. The competition is sponsored by the Metal Powder Industries Federation. The article describes the winning entries.
