New compact robotic palletizers installed alongside rotary stretch-wrap machines are loading pallets positioned on the wrappers' turntables. Dual-pallet robotic palletizers are loading pairs of pallets with identical or different kinds of cases simultaneously in one-third the space two separate palletizers would need. Manufacturers of palletizers see a continuing reduction in the high-rise warehousing of pallet loads and a growing interest in just-in-time inventory. New automatic slipsheet dispensers can be retrofitted to existing palletizing equipment; some robots can place slipsheets as easily as they load cases.
