Equations and methods of calculation are given for the necessary operational voltage as well as for the permissible operation time of multi-phase asynchronous motors, whose rotational speed is adjusted with variable ratio transformers and thyristor devices. The equations of the design have been worked out under simplified presumptions; thus a simple calculation is achieved, but the results match nicely with the measurements taken.
