Design criteria are considered in selection of pumps, axle position, revolutions per minute, pressure pipe diameter and other parameter of this largest in the world pumped storage plant, located near Vianden, on the border of Luxembourg and Germany. Total 10 units are installed with a capacity of 1130 mw.
