Methods used in the manufacture of gas mixtures are described, particular attention being paid to the gravimetric method of test-gas production. Analytical control methods are surveyed. The necessity for suitable pre-treatment of gas containers to avoid instability of the mixtures through contact reaction is cited. Various Linde containers, valves and fittings are discussed.
