This paper reviews materials handling equipment available in West Germany designed for weighing, positioning and feeding of processed materials in West Germany rubber factories. Equipment involved also includes storage silos for carbon black, fillers, plasticizers, and auxiliary chemicals such as curing agents, accelerators, stabilizers, etc. Design of complete materials handling and feeding lines are presented along with practical recommendations. Most of the equipment discussed in this paper operate on the basis of aautomatic control.
